Tony Luna started fishing commercially out of the Santa Barbara Harbor in 1989, and has operated multiple vessels out of our harbor over the last 35 years. His primary fishery is Spiny Lobster, but he also has a Southern Rock Crab permit and targets the local Pelagic fish species when they’re biting. 

Prior to commercial fishing, Tony was an avid sport fisherman and scuba diver. He also worked in the entertainment industry and at the local dive shop in the SB harbor as a rescue diver and dive master. His years of experience have given him a vast knowledge of the California coast and our offshore islands. 

He currently captains the F/V LunaSea, and can be seen regularly pulling his traps from Carpinteria up to the Gaviota Coast. His passion for the ocean and our local waters goes without saying, and he hopes to pass on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of ocean lovers like himself.
